Petitions for, and a writ of, habeas corpus, filed against Andrew Bryson, commander of the steamer Michigan, 4 June 1866, on behalf of twelve Fenians captured on the Niagara River by Bryson; warrants for the apprehension of Fenians John O'Neil, Hugh Mooney, and John Hay, signed by P.G. Parker, U.S. Commissioner for the Northern District of New York, 5 June 1866; report of court proceedings by G.W. Clinton, Justice of the Superior Court of Buffalo, 5 June 1866; sworn statement of Andrew Bryson on his capture of the Fenians, 6 June 1866; pass issued to Robert Boche for entrance to the Fort Erie encampment, 26 June 1866; and a letter from C.F. Adams, London, 10 Dec. 1866, to Sir, agreeing that pursuing leniency in the Fenian cases would be the best course, since "they will vanish and leave no trace behind, if kept unconnected with any vindictive record written in blood."
